There is more money in owning your own business.

The car represents the freedom to go places.  It is not so bad to take public transportation, though.  We encourage youth to earn that car faster and when they get the car, to use it to help family also.  Today's youth know that if they are not in college, they may end up working for Mc Donald's or some other fast food restaurant.  Educational sales will take youth later on into sales jobs that can pay six figures. 

Teenage unemployment and underemployment are  extremely high.  Teens can learn about operating their own business and it makes sense to teach them so they can have the opportunity at a younger age in life.  Given their loss of income from not being employed, they must catch up later on by making money in their own business, maintaining good credit, and making wise decisions leading to retirement.

This population was addressed in a presidential campaign platform in 2008.  "Today, Hillary Clinton announced a Youth Opportunity Agenda to address the silent crisis of disconnected youth in America. Hillary’s 35 years of experience fighting for children and families has taught her that every young person in America has potential. Yet today we are failing to realize that potential. More than four million of our young people between 16 to 24 are out of school and out of work. The number of these disconnected youth has grown an alarming 18% between 2000 and 2005. The situation of the 1.4 million young African American and Hispanic men who are out-of-work and out-of-school today is particularly troubling. These young men are less likely to graduate high school, more likely to end up in prison and are often left jobless and poor."  College and high school students are fighting for fast food jobs in this great recession.  It is time for something new and you can help some youth in your community.  You can make a difference so they can make a difference.

Teens will learn about using the internet to develop sales.

THIS ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAM HELPS AT RISK TEENS TO HELP OTHER AT RISK TEENS

The GED Hotline has helped teens get on track with its educational program.  This has made the GED Hotline famous around the world.  Teens need income and now and that can be achieved in starting up a business.  College students are now competing more with teens for everyday jobs such as fast food restaurants.  Frustration sets in.  Why be frustrated when you can earn income in your own business?

Over the years the GED Hotline has helped teens who dropped out of the best schools to achieve their dreams.  It has a helped a teenager who had dropped out school to help her sick mother.  It has helped a homeless, parentless, jobless woman whose brother earned his GED in jail and this young woman had been in four GED classes.  It has helped two youth deported with their parents to pass the GED in Argentina and those youth are in the university now.
