Somos El Futuro 2011 was one of my best conferences ever.  There I was talking people who have known my GED work for years, including HUD Regional Director Adolfo Carrión. Senator Malcolm Smith, New York City Councilman Robert Jackson, Assemblyman Nelson Castro, Senator Adriano Espaillat.  I spoke with New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, Danny Figuera, and Assemblyman Felix Ortiz.  There were also Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Attorney General Eric Schneideman.  I made new friends who can help make an impact on our state.  New York City Comptroller John Liu and Senator Kristen Gillibrand and I had separate chats.
